November 4th - February 28th: Gatlinburg Winterfest Illumination and Decoration Contest
Local businesses get into the spirit of winter by decorating for the season and competing in different categories, making Gatlinburg a "Fantasy of Lights". The city of Gatlinburg magically lights up the winter nights with over 2 million spectacular lights in fantastic displays throughout town. Displays are sure to dazzle the spirit and bring out the kid in everyone. Special lighting displays added in January for "Smoky Mountain Romance" through February. January 4th, 2004: Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights (Saturdays only) Gatlinburg Courtesy Center at Traffic light # 3. Enjoy a guided tour of Gatlinburg's spectacular light displays. April 9th - 11th: Warbirds Weekend See visiting historic Warbird aircraft from around the world as they converge on the Tennessee Museum of Aviation for a weekend full of impromptu flights. April 19th - 25: 54th Annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage Week Enjoy the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains by participation in the "Spring Wild Flower Pilgrimage". Featuring over 150 different hiking tours, motorcades, demonstrations and classroom lectures centered on the flowers, plants and wildlife in the great Smoky Mountains National Park and is led by experts from the Park and the University of Tennessee in nearby Knoxville. May 1st: Tanger 8K Run for the Park Take a run for the park through picturesque Sevierville at the incredible Tanger Five Oakes Outlet Center's Tanger 8K Run for the Park. May 14 - 16: 22nd Annual Scottish Festival and Games. Mills Park. Highland athletic games, highland dancers, bag pipe bands, border collie demonstrations, entertainment, whiskey tasting, Scottish clans and much more.
June 11th - 13th: Great Smoky Mountains/Southeast Regional Aircraft Modeling Expo.
Bring your model aircraft or just stop by to see a miniature air show with radio controlled airplanes. There is something for everyone form kids to adults including paper airplane demonstrations, model building, radio control and even fly-bys of full-sized aircraft. July 3rd - 4th: 29th Annual 4th of July Midnight Parade
Downtown Gatlinburg. Enjoy lighted floats, marching bands, & giant helium balloons. Parade begins at 12:01am on the 4th of July, (which is one minute after midnight after midnight on July 3rd). July 3rd: 14th Annual Patriot Festival
Patriot Park, 3:00pm. Games for the kids, followed by patriotic concerts featuring a variety of special performers and concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.
July 4th: River Raft Regatta Enjoy a fun event on the river. Unmanned, floatable objects are launched into the River and they compete for prizes. 12:00pm River Road. July 16th - 25th: Gatlinburg's Craftsmen's Fair Over 180 of the finest Craftspeople gifted in woodcarving, pottery, broom making, stained glass, metal work basket weaving, calligraphy, jewelry and much more gather ant the Gatlinburg Convention Center to offer their unique art for sale. Plus Country and Bluegrass music performed daily by Keith Longbotham and band. Show hours: 10am - 7pm daily. 10am - 5pm Sundays.

Kick-off includes live music and entertainment, guest apperances from local celebrities, and good clean fun for the entire family. City wide festival celebrates the magic of the season in Smoky Mountain style. Pigeon Forge, Gatinburg an Sevierville will "flip the switch" to light over 6 million sparkling lights and patriotic displays, including eagles in flight, dancing snowflakes and other seasonal displays that are the benchmark of th Winterfest celebration.
November 11th: 2004 Veteran's Day Celebrations 11:00 a.m. A patriotic celebration saluting America's heroes. This event will be held at the Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies plaza.
